Not long after this you run into a strapping young lad named Chris Walker. Miles is a journalist who received a tip via an e-mail about evil things going in Mount Massive Asylum.Īfter arriving at Mount Massive, Miles works his way through the side entrance to find a room full of severed heads sitting on shelves as if he had found the museum of the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run. In Outlast you play as a fellow known as Miles Upshur. The game was released in the later half of 2013 by independent developer Red Barrels and unfortunately, though I had planned to pick it up on release date, I only got around to playing it within the past month or so. I recently played an absolutely terrifying horror game called Outlast for the PC and PlayStation 4 that I can quite easily say was one of the most horrifying experiences I’ve endured in a long while, at least one with plenty of toilet breaks. So, I will try to keep this review as spoiler free as I possibly can.
